Not everything I love comes from altitude. Sometimes the light does something to the grass beside a WA back road and stopping is simply not optional. This is a slow shutter speed image — ICM technique — where the camera movement during exposure turns the grasses into something between a photograph and a painting. Western Australia.
Grasses is warm, organic and quietly beautiful in a way that's different from the aerial work — more immediate, more tactile, like you could reach into it. The ICM technique gives it a softness and movement that prints with a painterly quality, particularly in larger formats. A natural fit for bedrooms, reading nooks and any space that wants something living in it. The kind of image that makes a room feel like it's breathing.
