Lake Johnson does what all of WA's pink lakes do — turns a shade that makes you second-guess your eyes — but from above at the right time of year, it does it particularly well. The salt crust, the varying depth, the surrounding scrub all contribute to a palette that frankly shouldn't work as well as it does. Western Australia.
