Under the stars
I wasn't looking for people. I was looking at landforms, at the way erosion shapes a surface, at colour and texture and light. And then I saw them — a small group, gathered together, looking up at something above them that bore an uncanny resemblance to the sweep of the Milky Way. All of it written in the earth from above. Central Wheatbelt, Western Australia.
Under the Stars is an aerial landscape image that does something quietly extraordinary — it finds the human story inside the geological one. The figures aren't there, and yet they are, completely and undeniably. It's the kind of image that changes slightly every time you come back to it. Calm, contemplative and genuinely moving if you let it be. Suits a bedroom or quiet living space — somewhere you have time to look properly.
This is a portrait oriented print.
Print comes rolled in protective paper in a postage tube, ready for mounting and framing.
